Niharika Avvari commenced dance at the age of 5 under the training of Guru Smt. Shirni Kanth, artistic director of Mythri Natyalaya School of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Shirni Kanth is the recipient of several awards such as Navyanataka Samithi National Award, Kaladarshini State Award, Sandaka Parasuramulu Memorial Award, to name a few. She is also conferred with the title Nrithya Kowmudi in recognition of her valuable contribution to the field of dance. Niharika started her dance journey learning Bharatanatyam, later switching to Kuchipudi. Over the past 12 years, she has performed at several dance festivals, including OSAAT and BATA, as well as participated in numerous classical dance competitions. Niharika finished her Kuchipudi Rangapravesam on July 16, 2022, in Austin, TX.
